Samsung T7 Touch 1TB Review

If you’ve ever brought a Samsung product you’ll be aware of how their packaging is designed, and it’s good to see that this has carried over to the T7 Touch. Externally it follows the standard modern practice of clear product image, but inside is where it looks the business.

The drive itself is housed in a form-fitting cardboard box which sits on top of two boxes which contain the cables in clearly marked forms.

If you look at the boxes above it’s clear that the USB cables wont be the longest the world has ever seen and sure enough they aren’t, at around 18 inches long. Plenty for most setups.

The drive itself is smooth and rounded, perfect for fitting into pockets without gouging holes out of the lining, and the lit square is the fingerprint reader. This also is the activity light. All the power for the drive is provided by the USB cable with no external power supplies as you’ll see in a moment.

This is the only part of the case that has any openings at all, a USB Type C connector. You can either go Type C to Type C if you have a modern phone or computer, or Type C to Type A allowing you to use the drive on an older system.
