No, not a regular system, because the backs of those are not tidy. You know what we mean. How ASUS have squeezed all the cables into a central panel is incredible.
The Crosshair 2006 20th Anniversary is about as good as AMD motherboards get. We certainly squeezed a significant amount of extra performance from the Ryzen 9 9950X3D than we had before. So much so we’ll be revisiting our findings another day. It also looks incredible. Yes nostalgia is there, because we’re old. But even as a standalone it is magnificent to both behold and to utilise. The ROG Ryuo IV blends the current fashion for giant screens with fantastic cooling prowess. To keep a Ryzen 9 9950X3D below 80° is no small feat.
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the ROG RTX 5090 Matrix remains ridiculously capable. Obviously there is a serious price barrier to overcome. But if you can, or if you got on board before the price went ballistic, then you’ll be rewarded with a graphics powerhouse capable of leveraging Nvidia’s amazing DLSS technology to delivery crisp visuals at incredible frame rates. Even on the latest titles such as we had today, you get the opportunity to just enjoy the artistic vision, rather than spend hours fettling your settings to attain playability.
