ASUS PC DIY With Ultimate Nvidia System Build

The RG20 has a frameless design. While that might sound like a contradiction, what we mean is that there is no case as such. But instead ASUS have trimmed away the excess. Given us only what we need to build, whilst not limiting our options. It’s actually an incredible piece of design. As you’ll see in a moment, the cables don’t all get stuck around the back like a BTF design either. Besides, that would hardly win aesthetic awards.

So if the cables aren’t at the front, nor at the back, where exactly are they? After all, here is just the radiator for the Ryuo IV, and the Thor III PSU.

Like sawing a lady in half, the trick is chiefly in a frame that doesn’t seem big enough to hold anything, and yet is more than enough. That frame edge you can see is big enough to tidy away all the cables needed to run a rig. Without them being either at the front or at the back. It’s magnificent. A marvel of the modern age. Yes there are dust concerns, and no it won’t suit everyone, but that is entirely missing the point. Just look at it. Really look. It’s a fabulous demonstration of the engineers art.

A Closer Look

The foundation of our ASUS PC DIY system that will show off the incredible performance of Nvidia’s latest DLSS technology, is this beautiful Crosshair 20th Anniversary. It matches the original well, and whilst it clearly has some glitz, it’s not the hateful gaudiness beloved of despots in their oval offices. We particularly like how harmonious the ASUS ROG design is. The Crosshair logo matches perfectly the hue on the RG20 case.

The keen eyed amongst you will also have spotted the ROG logo atop the Ryuo IV. Working its heart out to keep our monstrous Ryzen 9 9950X3D cool. And it does a fine job too. As we’ll show off later on.

Graphical Splendour

Although the case is clearly a staggering piece of engineering, our heart belongs to a meaty graphics card. We haven’t spent every piece of spare money on our Steam library for nothing. The ASUS ROG RTX 5090 Matrix is a weapon. A beast of a card. One of those fire and forget pieces of hardware that’s so capable you needn’t factor it in to anything you do. Want to buy that new Remedy game? No need to look at the recommended specifications, this will run it. Witcher 3 just updated? Just play and enjoy.

Naturally we adore the red, because as stated earlier it matches the bosses favourite shade. We like the new take on a blower design. The end of the card is enormous, with a huge fan. Plus that Matrix logo lighting up the world.

No, you weren’t having a minor stroke. The Matrix has an infinity mirror, letting you show it off to the world. And with the ROG RG20 case there is nothing in the way of you flexing your wallet.

With the gold accents and very red Matrix, we opted for white lighting on the Ryuo IV SLC AIO. The fans pump out plenty of light, so whether you want the case facing this way, or up against a wall where the lighting is backlighting, you’ll be covered.

Isn’t it odd how the Thor PSU screen looks upside down? Obviously this is the right way up. There is just something about the design of the typeface – probably the 1 and W – that looks the wrong way up. Maybe it’s just us. Leave a comment if we’re not going crazy.

Limited Edition Flexing

Lastly some close ups of the Anniversary branding unique to these pieces of hardware. In this shot, you also get an amazing indication of the brightness that the G.Skill RAM has to offer.
