The NVMe storage that runs the Windows 10 operating system in the Zephyrus is very quick, with fast transfer rates in all block sizes. If you’d have told us when SSDs first appeared that a few years later we’d have drives that can do 4K block sizes as quickly as the sequential transfer rates of the SATA III models we’re not sure we’d have believed you.

  

The Kaby Lake Core i7-8750H happily boosts up to 3.99 GHz if needed ensuring that you have plenty of CPU horsepower with which to play, particularly as it’s a hexcore 12 thread model. Coupling that to the nVidia GTX 1080 with Max-Q design – a method of getting high performance without compromising either temperatures or having to go thick on the cooler – should mean some very exciting results in our benchmarks.
