Cyberpower Ultra XT3D Review

Conclusion

The CyberPowerPC Ultra XT3D is the perfect system at the perfect time.

AMD have been reborn like a Phoenix from the flames. We know that has been the case for a while now, but it wasn’t beyond possibility that their return was a stroke of luck. Was the first Ryzen just unexpectedly good? Maybe the second was luck. Of course by now, here in the 9000 series, we know that the AMD Ryzen is here to stay as a processing powerhouse. Similar claims could be laid at the feet of their X3D technology. Did the Ryzen 7 5800X3D catch us off guard and seem better than it was? Assuredly not. Indeed it’s proven so wildly popular that the Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor we have here is constantly selling out. Everyone wants one.

By the time of the 5000 series of Ryzen processors, AMD had clearly moved some muscle to their Radeon arm. Once upon a time we all owned the Radeon HD4850 and HD4870 cards. Then, over the years, they lost their way. Even the initial RDNA architecture cards had some pretty big flaws. The RDNA 3 7000 series were much better but AFMF was embryonic and the ray-tracing performance catastrophic. Now the RDNA 4 cards are here, and the RX 9070 XT in the CyberPowerPC Ultra XT3D is their flagship, all those problems have been solved. AFMF might not be quite as good as Nvidia’s Frame Gen, but it’s darn close. Similarly turning on ray-tracing on the RDNA 4 cards isn’t a “lose all performance” switch any more.

As you could see on our 3DMARK and 4K Gaming graphs, the CyberPowerPC Ultra XT3D is a magnificent gaming beast. Better still, because the processor at its heart is the meaty Ryzen 7 9800X3D there is plenty of horsepower for the creative things we all love to do. There is nothing worse than a system which can pump out good frame rates but grinds to a halt the second you attempt to edit some gameplay footage or play a more CPU-bound title. This is a great all-rounder. The case in particular might be slightly more expensive than some other options, but it means you get big fans and a premium looking number. The price is worth it for that big initial impression.

Available for £1999.20 in our review configuration, the CyberPowerPC Ultra XT3D combines careful component choice with gobs of performance to win our OC3D Gamers Choice Award.
