Up Close

Speaking from bitter experience, packaging a water cooled system is vital to ensure that it arrives in one piece. PC Specialist have found a packaging solution that works beautifully for their normal systems and the LS-H01 has even more care taken to guarantee it arrives to you in the state it left their workshop. Multiple layers of stiff cardboard protect the case, and we’ll look at the internal protection below.

As always with PC Specialist they supply you with every screw, cable, manual and extra that you would receive should you have brought these items individually. Only the old GPU air-coolers are absent, but who’d want them anyway.

The foam inserts are a miracle of modern innovation and their value is raised even higher when it’s keeping tubing and reservoirs safe. Rather than the single item we usually receive that keeps the graphics card stable, the LS-H01 has every nook and cranny full of expanding foam.

Removing the packaging reveals yet more care taken to keep everything as solid as possible during transit. There is no doubt that every care has been taken to ensure that even the most ham-fisted delivery driver cannot damage your purchase.

This level of care extends to even the bits you cannot see, with every cable carefully routed and more ties than an Eton reunion.

The 750D is one of the sleekest cases around. The brushed aluminium front looks delicious in its black colouring, ensuring that the bright red water system really pops. The rear might be fairly standard stuff, but who doesn’t love the look of two GPU backplates in their PCI section?
