Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War III PC performance review
Introduction
With Dawn of War III, Relic entertainment wants to deliver an RTS that offers the best elements of both previous releases, coming with base building and a wide range of both units and tactics, though the game also comes with powerful heroes in the campaign which offer almost MOBA-like playstyles. This is certainly an RTS where the use of hotkeys and unit abilities is a must and not an RTS where one simply amasses a large force and throws it at their enemies.
The game’s single-player campaign will focus on the Eldar, Orks and the human Imperial Space Marines, with each faction fighting to claim the “Spear of Khaine” from the wandering Planet Acheron. We will not go any deeper into the story here, but the campaign is effectively just a lengthy tutorial for the game’s multiplayer component.
The big question on many player’s lips is this. In this game where there is only war, will my PC offer enough performance to allow my to reign supreme in the name of the God-Emporer of Mankind? Let’s have a look at the PC performance of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III and see exactly what kind of PC hardware is required to play it with high framerates.
