4K Screenshot Graphical Comparison

With the exception of Minimum settings, it is actually very difficult to spot the differences in Dawn of War III’s overall graphics when the game in is motion, where players are focused on battle and not how pretty each of their units looks.

At minimum settings, we see that the game takes a significant step back in graphical quality, having no texture differences from our Low setting but coming with no shadows, reduced levels of smoke effects and lighting complexity. In basic terms, this takes away a lot of unnecessary elements from the game to create an uncluttered experience for gameplay purist, as well as allows players to easily play with high framerates for a competitive edge.

Moving up to low settings and we see the addition of shadows and smoke and complex lighting, giving the game a much more satisfying look. At low we can see that the texture quality of the game is poor at low settings on both standard and hero units.

Easily the most noteworthy changes to the game are noticeable when moving the game’s texture quality to High or Higher, providing more detailed units, ground textures and scrap across the terrain. Other differences are minor and are difficult to notice in most situations so texture quality should be prioritised when setting up this game.
