Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War III PC performance review

VRAM Usage

When it comes to VRAM use Dawn of War III is highly scalable, from just over 1GB of VRAM use at 1080p minimum settings to almost 5.5GB at 4K maximum settings.

In testing, we found that our 4GB R9 Fury X presented no performance issues when running at 4K Max settings due to VRAM use, which means that this game is likely designed to tone down textures in the event of a VRAM overspend, or that the game intentionally uses more VRAM than is required to speed up loading times when using different assets.
