Palit RTX 5090 GameRock Review
Introduction and Technical Specifications
Introduction
GameRock cards from Palit have long since been amongst the glitziest around. They take RGB to new heights and are perfect if you mount your card vertically. Having a design that is different to most of the market can be a double-edged sword. On the one hand there might be a reason other manufacturers haven’t chosen that path. But not everyone likes the same thing. Ergo, having a design that is different can give you an entire segment of the market.
The RTX 5000 series from Palit has seen them return to the drawing board. We’ve seen RTX 3080 and RTX 4090 cards from them that look similar. The RTX 5080 GameRock was our first glimpse of the subtler design. Today, with the Palit RTX 5090 GameRock, we’ve got their flagship model, albeit still in that subtler design. This might be perfect if you didn’t like the gaudy nature of the originals. However, if you did this doesn’t separate itself from the pack very much nor give you what you crave.
It’s almost as bold to return to a fairly traditional design as it is to branch out in a new direction. Naturally aesthetics are a matter of personal preference. We’ve always loved the serious RGB of the GameRock cards up to now. We can all agree that performance is king though. Especially on cards at this end of the price spectrum.
