ASUS PRIME AP303 PC case Review
Meet the ASUS PRIME AP303
ASUS cases are entering their PRIMEtime
When we reviewed ASUS’ PRIME AP202 earlier this year, we were impressed by both its cooling performance and its aesthetic. It has set high expectations for new ASUS cases moving forward, and today’s review will settle a simple question for us. Was the AP202 a one-off, or has ASUS’ case division entered a renaissance?
Today, we will be looking at the PRIME AP303, ASUS’ newest PRIME series case. Has it met the high bar set by the AP202? Let’s find out.
Versions and I/O support
ASUS’ PRIME 303 case is available in several forms. The case is available with either a tempered glass or a mesh side panel, and it is available in black and white.
The case’s front I/O includes a UCB 3.2 Gen 2×2 (20 Gbps) header, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A headers, and a 3.5mm headphone/microphone input. The case also uses a “unified” IO connector, which makes the PC building process much faster.
Included with the AP303 is an alternative PCIe cover that allows for vertical GPU mounting. That’s great news for PC builders who love that aesthetic.
Pricing
ASUS’ PRIME AP303 (TG) is available today for £94.99 on Amazon UK. Out of the box, this case comes with one 120mm exhaust fan. Users will need to install additional fans for optimal cooling performance.
Hardware Support
The PRIME AP303 supports GPUs up to 360mm long, liquid cooling solutions up to 360mm long (and 60mm thick), PSUs up to 180mm long, and motherboards up to ATX in size. Note that the PSU is mounted at the front of this PC case.
GPU Support Bracket
Included with the PRIME AP303 is a GPU support bracket that can attach to the support screw mounts on many OEM-friendly graphics cards. While not all GPUs will support this bracket, its inclusion is welcome.
