Borderlands 4 Retested – Is the game faster now?

Borderlands 4 Retested

It’s time to retest Borderlands 4’s PC version

Gearbox has claimed that Borderlands 4’s PC version has received a significant performance boost with recent updates. Given the game’s atrocious performance at launch (see our initial review here), we have decided to put these performance claims to the test.

To retest Borderlands 4, we will be testing all of the game’s default graphical presets. We will also be retesting our “optimised” settings from the game’s launch.

Over the past several months, these optimizations have improved average FPS by approximately 20% across the board, including on our minimum and recommended specifications.

On the next page, we will retest Borderlands 4’s graphical presets to see how much higher performance is today compared to day 1.
