HAVN HS 360 PC Case Review

Meet the HAVN HS 360

The HAVN HS 360 isn’t just a smaller HS 420; it’s a better HS 420

The HAVN HS 420 is a fantastic PC case, but it’s not perfect. Since its launch, HAVN has been listening to feedback, and the new HS 360 is their answer. Many wanted a smaller version at a lower price point. Users also asked for new additions like Back-Connect motherboard support. The new HS 360 delivers this and more, delivering many improvements that nobody could have expected.

Much smaller than the HS 420

Overall, the HS 360 is 19.4% smaller than the HS 420 and 29.5% lighter. These changes make the HS 360 cheaper to produce and ship, which is music to the ears of both system integrators and DIY PC builders. While many PC builders love massive cases, affordability and movability matter. Big PC cases are nice, but moving them isn’t, especially when they are filled with hardware.

To VGPU or not to VGPU?

Like the HS 420, the HS 360 is available in VGPU and standard forms. The standard model comes with a flat base with three 120mm fan mounts. The VGPU model (see below) has an angled fan mount and a glass airflow director. This director pushes cool air towards the front of a user’s graphics card, lowering GPU thermals by ensuring an idealised airflow pattern.

The HS 360 VGPU also comes with a PCIe 5.0 riser cable and other useful accessories.

A clever way to enable back-connect support

To enable back-connect motherboard support, HAVN added a removable plate to their case that lets users move their motherboard’s cable-management holes and use them as back-connect holes or traditional cable-management holes. Their rubber grommets are also removable, as they are unnecessary when using a back-connect motherboard. This design gives back-connect compatible PCs a cleaner aesthetic, but not at the cost of traditional motherboard support.

HS 360 VGPU Airflow Divider

Now this is clever. One add-on for the HS360 GPU adds a clear “Airflow Divider” above your graphics card. This gives air from the bottom of the case a clearer path to your vertically mounted GPU and prevents hot air from the top of the case from recirculating into your graphics card. In other words, it keeps hot air away from your GPU and directs cool air toward it. This change can deliver a notable drop in GPU thermals.

This divider includes several anti-vibration pads that let it sit on top of your GPU. HAVN supplies black, Light Grey, and Dark Grey versions to match whatever GPU you choose.

Pricing

The HS 360 is available in two forms: the HS 360 and HS 360 VGPU. The VGPU model comes with several add-ons: a vertical GPU holder, a VGPU airflow divider, a PCIe 5.0 riser cable, and angled bottom fan mounts that support three 120mm fans. These add-ons justify the HS 360 VGPU’s premium price. Both forms of the HS 360 are available in black and white. In the UK, the HAVN HS 360 will be available through Overclockers UK.

  • HAVN HS 360 (Standard) – £169.99
  • HAVN HS 360 VGPU – £239.99
