The lighting is up to the usual standards of flexibility we’ve come to expect from Corsair. It would be cool if we could split the ear cup lighting into different colours, particularly useful if you’re a clan or gaming team, and we’d like to be able to change the light on the end of the mic rather than just toggle it on or off. We understand that such things can be difficult as you need different colours for muted and not. It’s a minor thing.

  

The Virtuoso has five built in equaliser presets as well as the ability to create your own. You can attach the sliders to each other for a smooth profile or have them individually controlled if you’re particularly susceptible to certain frequencies annoying you.

  

Concentrating upon the logo just below the volume sliders on the right there is a stereo/7.1 surround toggle. Unfortunately this also comes with a woman loudly telling you what you’ve just done, so make sure you pop into the settings and disable her at the first opportunity. We missed it the first time around as the Settings sub-menu usually applies to the iCUE software rather than each Corsair item itself, perhaps the adjustment can be made more obvious as part of the left hand main screen. Tiny thing we know, but if we missed it first time around so might others.
