ASUS ROG Ryujin III 360 ARGB CPU Cooler Review

Excellent performance – Shame about the pump noise…

When testing ASUS’ new ROG Ryujin III 360 ARGB CPU Cooler, we utilised our standard heatsink testing configuration which uses an Intel i9-9900K processor running at a fixed clock speed of 4.8GHz at 1.2V. Simply put, the results that the AIO delivered are phenomenal.

ASUS’ ROG Ryujin III 360 ARGB CPU cooler is the best CPU heatsink that we have ever tested, at least in terms of overall cooling performance. At 1500 RPM it was able to surpass our previous champion, the EK Nucleus CR360 when it was using its fans at a faster (and louder) 2300 RPM. That’s a strong result from ASUS, though it is worth noting that the EK heatsink is less than half the price of ASUS’ ROG Ryujin III cooler.

At the time of writing, ASUS’ ROG Ryujin III CPU cooler is the best performing heatsink that we have ever tested, both when using the heatsink’s fans at its lowest RPM values, and when using this units fans at its highest speeds. It’s just a shame that this heatsink’s pump is on the loud side.
