Cooler Master HAF 700 Review - Another Proper HAF!

Conclusion – It’s another proper HAF

There is little that can be said about the HAF 700 that we have not already said about the HAF 700 EVO. The case is incredibly modular, it supports large motherboards, heatsinks, liquid cooling radiators, and graphics cards. The HAF 700 is massive, and it can contain pretty much every hardware configuration that you can think of. You can read our HAF 700 EVO review here.

As mentioned previously in this review, the HAF 700 and HAF 700 EVO are identical cases internally. The only difference between both of these cases is its front panel design, with the HAF 700 offering users a simpler external aesthetic and a lower price tag. That said, this case is incredibly expensive. With a UK MSRP of £349.99, the HAF 700 is not a cheap case. That said, are any cases of this size cheap?

Thermally, the HAF 700 and HAF 700 EVO delivered us identical results using our test system, which makes the choice between the HAF 700 and HAF 700 EVO a simple one. Is the EVO worth an extra £100? That depends on whether or not it matches your stylistic preferences. Both the HAF 700 and HAF 700 EVO are incredible cases, and both are great choices for large-scale performance-focused gaming PCs.

With a removable top and a huge amount of internal space, the HAF 700 is an easy case to build in and a great chassis for liquid cooling. Cooler Master got all of the little details right with the HAF 700 EVO, and the same is true for the HAF 700. The HAF 700 feels like a premium case, just like its bigger brother.

While may of you will see the cost of living rising and think “I wouldn’t dream of buying a £350 PC case”, rest assured that the HAF 700 is not for you. This is a PC case that demands premium components  and begs to be liquid cooling. This case is expensive, and so are liquid cooling setups. If you are lucky enough to afford both, the HAF 700 is the case for you. It not, you will need to consider other options.

If you want a massive PC on your desk and want to have your CPU and graphics cards cooled using an overkill liquid cooling setup, the Cooler Master HAF 700 is your dream case. Its high airflow front design is ideal for hot PC components, and the case’s radiator support allows users to create an insanity tier liquid cooling setup for some heavy CPU/GPU overclocking.

With its massive scale and focus on strong airflow and cooling support, the HAF 700 is a chassis the meets the demand of ultra-high-end PC gamers. It delivers everything that users should want, and a little more on top of that. If you like the HAF 700 EVO and wanted something a little simpler, the HAF 700  is the case for you.

As for an award, the HAF 700 can’t get anything less than OC3D’s Enthusiast Grade award. At its core, the HAF 700 is an enthusiasts PC case. Why else would you want your PC that’s heavily liquid cooled and has two 20cm wide cooling fans at the front? The HAF 700 is designed to allow PC builders to create top-tier systems, and it succeeds in that goal.
