Raijintek Asterion Plus Case Review

Stripped and Build

There’s not really a lot to strip off the Asterion, pretty much just the roof vent and front panel.  The front panel though is an absolute sod to remove so don’t say we haven’t warned you.  With it off though we can see that there’s room for 3x120mm fans and 2x140mm, although to be honest, with a bit of modding we recon you could get a third 140mm in there.

Why are we looking at the inside of the front panel?  have we lost the plot?  Nope.  We’re looking at this because this is where you can mount a slim line DVD drive should you so desire.

Believe it or not that’s a full size ATX board in there.  Looks lost doesn’t it!  What this does mean though is that there’s stacks of room for other hardware, for example pretty much any size GPU you can find will fit just fine.  What’s strange is that the Asterion doesn’t feel like it’s a massive case when you look at it from the outside.

As we’ve only done a really basic build, there aren’t that many cables to sort.  What is obvious though is that no matter how much you stick back here there’s going to be ample room to bring it all together nice and tidy.
