Raijintek Orcus 360 AIO Review

Being a 360mm radiator, it’s no surprise to learn that with critical dimensions of 395x120x28mm (LxWxD)  the Orcus is a bit of a big bugger.  The really interesting dimension in there though is the thickness.  At just 28mm thick, the Orcus is actually quite slim and is going to fit into quite a lot of spaces that other rads might not. 

  

 

Raijintek claim a high density radiator is one of the features that adds to the Orcus’ capabilities.  We’ve heard claims like this before, but with twelve visible water channels, it’s fair to say that the the Orcus is on the denser side of things.  As we’ve previously seen though, a lot will depend on the interaction between the rad and the fans.

  

 

Although the water channel density is quite high, the Fins/Inch (FPI) is actually on the low side at eighteen.  For the greater part, 120mm fan based rads seem to have an FPI in the region of 20-21 FPI.  Still it’ll be interesting to see how the Orcus performs.

  

 

What does appear really odd is that the braided Teflon tubes connect with the rad very much towards the centre, as opposed to nearer the edges of the end tank.  Again, it’ll be interesting to see what effect this has, whilst at the same time it’s refreshing to know that not every AIO “Manufacturer” uses the same OEM. 

  

 

With the fans attached the Orcus is starting to look the part.  The eagle eyed among you will though have noticed that there are more than the usual number of cables leaving the fans.  This, as you might have guessed is related to the fans having RGB LED functionality.

  

 

A 28mm thick rad, and 25mm thick fans should give an overall depth of 53mm.  In reality you can see that the rig, once assembled tops out at 55mm.  This slight discrepancy can be attributed to the fans having rather nice, and rather high quality rubber anti vibration pads on each side.
