Whenever you’ve got this much silicon in the CPU socket requiring as much power as the Threadripper 3970X does there is a worry that you’ll push the VRMs of your chosen motherboard to the stratosphere, but as you can see all of the TRX40 motherboards we’ve tested handle it with aplomb, although some obviously do so better than others none of them do remotely badly.
