There are a lot of different approaches to the power stage of the Z890 motherboards. Clearly all of them are more than capable of running our Core Ultra 285K. Similarly none of them are insanely hot. But a few degrees can affect the thermal headroom for overclocking, or even just heat soak into your rig. The seriously beefy power stage of the Extreme is second only to the Hero in temperature terms. Perhaps that big 5″ screen adds a little warmth. Either way this is still plenty cold enough.
