Gigabyte X570S Aero G Preview

Gigabyte X570S Aero G Preview

Introduction

Not that long ago Gigabyte introduced their Vision range of products to the market. Designed for creators we liked them so much we built an entire system around them.

Along with the updated X570S chipset Gigabyte have released a revised motherboard that reminds us of the Vision, except it has been renamed to the Aero G. We have to confess that whilst the Vision branding did speak about the type of work that creators will do, Aero G isn’t quite so evocative. Maybe Gigabyte wanted to be inclusive with those who use their system for sound design too, or perhaps they decided the Vision name wasn’t getting it done. Either way it’s now the Aero G.

The X570S is very much a minor upgrade to the existing X570 chipset, with the chipset itself now passively cooled rather than utilising a 40mm fan to actively cool it as we saw on many of the early AM4 motherboards. There is also the addition of Thunderbolt support and a few other tweaks to the formula. Let’s run through them before we bring you a full review.
