Intel Core i9 10980XE and ASUS ROG Rampage VI Extreme Encore Review

ASUS ROG Rampage VI Extreme Encore Review

3D Mark

When it comes to our gaming benchmarks we’re always looking for chinks in the armour rather than expecting any massive differences between each setup. After all, these are so GPU limited that motherboards and processors don’t have a large effect.

The higher clock speed the Intel CPU is able to attain brings big rewards in 3D Mark at 1080P, even if by 1440P that advantage has largely dissipated and has gone entirely by 4K. 3D Mark is very GPU limited. Apart from the Encore lagging a little behind at 4K all of the X299 motherboards are close, regardless of CPU clock speed.
