Most of our early CPU benchmark tests rely heavily on high core counts, and indeed the graph is almost sorted by how many cores are available as much as anything else. The i9-9900K with its 8/16 core thread count gets seriously close to the 10/20 i9-7900X in our AIDA64 CPU benchmarks, and only the massively cored CPUs – and a couple of well tuned kits – stay ahead of it in the memory benchmark.
