We get a clear indication of the benefits of overclocking in our Blender test. Both the Ryzen 7 2700X and Intel i9-9900K have eight cores and sixteen threads, but whereas the Ryzen 7 can only overclock to around 4.1 GHz and thus isn’t much faster than it is at stock, the extra MHz available on a fully overclocked Core i9-9900K significantly lessen the time taken to render our custom blend.
