ASUS GTX 1050 Ti Expedition Edition Review

Up Close

The ASUS GTX 1050 Ti in our review system today is named the Expedition, rather than Strix or other ASUS sub-brands. It makes the most of the low power and efficient nature of the modern nVidia GPU by utilising twin passive-capable fans so that if you’re just tooling around on the desktop or playing extremely light games then the card remains utterly silent, a boon if the volume of high performance fans is wearisome. Additionally the full automation of the ASUS assembly line – alongside well chosen components – ensures that the card will last for as long as you need it. Something which is even more important given that the type of person who will purchase the Expedition is also the type of person unlikely to upgrade their GPU every cycle.

As you can see from the last two pictures we weren’t kidding about the lack of a PCI power input on the Expedition.
