Cooler Master GM2711S Review

Conclusion

Monitors are very much split into three categories. Cheap gaming ones. Expensive gaming ones. And mid-priced productivity ones. Looking at the specifications for the Cooler Master GM2711S it’s clear that they’ve manage to bestride both camps like the Colossus of Rhodes.

We know many people keep a close eye on the monitor market, and with good reason. For all the discussions about RGB lighting in your case, or high end graphics cards, what really defines your time in front of a computer is the screen. It’s what we stare at constantly. Having a good image quality can make average games look good, and great ones shine. Indeed you might have seen on the previous page how good Cyberpunk 2077 can look on this display. And that’s limited by cameras and your display. In real-life, as is so often the case, it looks even more glorious.

Image Quality

Shadows are deep, but with definition within rather than a wall of black. The highlights are similar, in that they are both bright but without being blown out. The contrast between the two has no real banding to speak of, certainly in comparison to other non-OLED panels. This is all aided by the 95% DCI-P3, 99% sRGB, 91% Adobe RGB colour gamut. Again the Cyberpunk shots show how rich the colours are here.

There is a clarity to the image that shows how good the IPS panel is. Additionally supporting a whopping 180Hz refresh rate you get ultra smooth gaming on the right hardware. Where we feel the Cooler Master GM2711S really gets a step on the competition is their exclusive Advanced Reflectionless Technology. Multilayer coating all but eliminates reflections, diffuses light sources without compromising the screen image quality. It’s a wonder to behold, and perfect if you use your system in anything other than the cliché windowless room.

With a high-quality stand offering full adjustment possibilities, a crisp image quality and high refresh rates, the Cooler Master GM2711S is the monitor yours eyes deserve and wins our OC3D Value For Money Award. Check out the Cooler Master Tempest GP2711 if you want to step up to the next level.
