Before we get to the main event of today’s look, we feel it’s important to revisit Cyberpunk 2077. You would be forgiven if you tried it at launch and immediately binned it off. However, CD Projekt Red have tirelessly fettled it. The release of the 2.0 patch and the Phantom Liberty expansion finally turned it into the game it always promised to be. Even then they haven’t rested on their laurels. Working closely with Nvidia they have all the technologies in place. DLSS 3.7 is the most cutting edge of these. But you also get Ray-Reconstruction, letting you turn on ray-tracing with minimal performance hit thanks to the AI Tensor cores. It’s freaking spectacular.
Such is the demands of the neon-soaked Night City, especially with ray-tracing enabled, you want to run DLSS if you can. Turning it on with our Gigabyte RTX 4080 Super you can see how much of a difference it makes. Turning everything previously mentioned on, takes things to even greater heights. It’s not just a resolution thing. Let’s try some 4K.
