3XS RTX Studio Pro Review

Introduction

Performance is relative. If you’ve been following our system reviews you’ll know that gaming requires a certain amount of horsepower, but most of that is on the GPU side of things. Those of you who use your systems for creative tasks will know that you can, quite literally, never have enough performance. Should you think that running Cyberpunk 2077 in 4K is demanding, it’s nothing compared to video rendering.

The thirst for content is unquenchable. Whether it’s the complexities of needing channel branding, colour grading and all the stuff that separates the great from the good, or merely a question of absolute length, high performance is everything. Scan, via their 3XS system building brand, have sought to build the pinnacle of systems for video creators. The ultimate performance this side of a render farm.

In the quest for the ultimate performance for creators the 3XS RTX Studio Pro is built using the ASUS ProArt chassis and CPU Cooling. The ProArt PA602 is a gigantic case providing bucket loads of airflow to ensure consistent performance. The CPU cooler, the ProArt LC 420mm has three Noctua NF-A14 industrialPPC-2000 PWM fans to try and tame the insane temperatures of which we know the Intel Core i9-14900K is capable.

Specifications

The Scan 3XS RTX Studio Pro is Powered by ASUS. What this means in real terms is that all almost all the hardware is part of the ProArt or TUF range. It’s certainly a vulgar display of power. Fortunately if a look through the specifications below has already got your reaching for your wallet, there is currently a cashback offer running. With the 3XS RTX Studio Pro you can get £306 cashback. Nice.

You might want something to run on it too. Whilst we are still narked that Adobe have stopped the “buy it once” solution, by buying this product you get 3 months of Adobe Creative Cloud for free. Naturally for such a premium product that isn’t everything, and you can register your purchase for a five year premium warranty. Guaranteed to let you sleep easy at night. The listed bundle includes a 34″ ultrawide ASUS ProArt display too. It’s worth noting our review package didn’t include it so this review will be without it.
