GTX 960 VS R9 380 – Max Settings at 1080p and 1440p

When trying to crank the resolution higher we can see that the GTX 960 and R9 380 are simply not good enough for even a steady 1440p at 30FPS. Both GPUs work very similarly at Maximum settings at both 1440p and 1080p, with AMD having a slightly higher average framerate, but a lower minimum framerate. 

To achieve a steady 60FPS at 1080p or a steady 30FPS at 1440p your graphical settings will need to be lowered, or you will need purchase a more powerful GPU.
