Just Cause 3 – AMD VS Nvidia Performance Review
Graphical Comparisons – Low, Medium, High, Very High and Max Settings
When it comes to the graphics on PC many people are all or nothing, but these days games set to their minimum settings don’t look that bad, still offering decent texture and shadow detail, but allowing players to get a solid 60FPS on even lower end hardware.
All of these Screenshots have been taken at a 4K resolution, so if you want to see these images in their full 4K glory, all you need to do is simply click on them.
As we crank up the settings we see the texture details and shadows much sharper and adds a lot of shadows to the vegetation, which does a lot to making the world look much more real. Through the many graphical setting Rico, the player character, looks pretty much identical, with the only noticeable difference to him being his shadows.
In the distance details in building becomes very noticeable as you move up the settings, where moving from low to medium makes the building model detail become more defined, moving from medium to high changing the textures from blurry to defined and moving from High to very high doing a little more of both.
Maxing out the game does not really add much more detail to the scene, but the shadows become much darker and therefore noticeable and the games general aesthetic becomes much less cartoonishly bright.
The countryside of Just Cause 3 does not change much as we change the settings, apart form an increase in shadow sharpness and shadows on vegetation, buildings are where the biggest changes happen as you crank up the settings, where the buildings change from mere coloured cardboard boxes to more 3-dimensional/ detailed objects.
