4K Screenshot Graphical Comparison

When going through the game’s graphical options you can see that there is a huge difference in lighting and shadow quality when moving from Low to medium settings, with textures improving greatly on distant objects and some buildings.

At low settings, you will see a lot of objects draw in while you are running through the environment, but all important details will still be there so it will not affect your ability to climb. At low settings reflective objects are minimal, whereas at higher settings a large portion of the object in the world contains some highly detailed reflections.

In the angular building in the screenshots below you can see detailed reflections of the billboards across the roads, which will change dynamically with the reflected object, making these reflections look very detailed and living world.

While initial glances may only notice a few minor differences between these screenshots they do showcase a lot of the differences between the higher and lower quality settings.

At low settings, you will notice that the reflections in the puddles lack detail, only reflecting nearby light sources, whereas later screenshots feature more realistic and slightly blurred reflections. You will also notice that at low settings only static shadows from the environment are present, leaving the play, guards and other moving objects without shadows.

Looking at the guard on the right you will see at medium he gains a shadow from the light behind him and at high he also gains a shadow behind him from the light coming from the ground across from him. When we move up to Hyper settings the shadows become much more detailed and defined and have a much higher resolution than at lower settings.
