Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst PC Performance Review

Mirror's Edge Catalyst PC Performance Review

1080p Testing with AMD R9 Fury X and Nvidia GTX 980Ti

When moving to the higher end GTX 980Ti and R9 Fury X we can see that both GPUs offer stupidly high performance, to a point where at low settings the game is almost constantly sitting at the 200FPS framerate cap.

We can see here that in most cases the R9 Fury X and GTX 980Ti perform similarly, especially when we look at minimum framerates. While AMD’s R9 Fury X has higher framerates on average, it still has the same performance dips as Nvidia giving no side a clear advantage until we go to Ultra and Hyper settings.

It is clear that of you own an R9 Fury X or GTX 980Ti you should either be using a super high refresh rate monitor or taking advantage of the games resolution scaling options, as this game barely presents a challenge to these high-end GPUs.
