3D Mark 11 is renowned for needing the best possible architecture underneath the hood, and initially it appears that the 290 at stock hasn’t quite got the raw power to make up the gap. However you have to cast your eye high up the graph to see how the MSI performs when overclocked, and it’s ahead of some big names, such as the ASUS 290X and even MSIs own GTX780 Lightning. A good start.
