The Unreal Engine 3 clearly prefers the nVidia technologies to the AMD ones, with even the best Hawaii card finding itself a long way down the performance table. Still the MSI R9 290 Gaming is hardly poor, being just shy of the magical 60FPS in 2560×1440 and stock clock speeds, with the overclock giving a solid boost to the frame rate.
