Although it’s very much a rule of thumb, most people with affordable gaming systems have cases that trend towards the compact, so the diminutive stature of the Dual makes perfect sense. The front side is dominated by the two fans, although keen eyed readers will also note the smatterings of clear plastic that let you peer inside.

The backplate is enough to cover up the rear side of the PCB, and even on this small card we still find the vent on the edge that helps push air out from the card towards your exhaust fans.

We can get so used to the designs of high end cards that the ASUS Dual almost looks like a card from yesteryear. A simple shroud design covering up a huge heatsink, with heatpipes bristling out of the sides. It’s cool, in an old-school way.

We run the card in P for Performance mode, rather than Q for Quiet, but as you’ll see later the cooler has more than enough overhead that only the most noise-sensitive user will need to reach for the BIOS toggle switch found next to the power input.

Speaking of which, the RTX 4060 relies on the trusty 8-pin PCIe power connector, instead of the new ATX 3 style. Useful, particularly if you’re going down the path of upgrading a pre-existing rig.
