Radeon RX 9070 XT – Sapphire, ASUS and XFX Review
Temperatures and Power Draw
Temperatures and Power Draw
The drivers on modern graphics cards are more willing to cap their performance when you hit thermal limits. This means that, by and large, most cards top out around the 80 degree mark. Power draw is far more important. Clearly AMD have designed their new GPUs with the maximum amount of thermal headroom. Equally Sapphire and XFX have done an amazing job with their coolers. We do think the 9070 XTs are a bit power hungry considering their performance. All still fine, but more than we expected. However, it’s worth noting they’re also a way below the 7900 XTXs.
