If the results below show anything, it’s that Smart Access Memory works on Zen 2 processors. This is a strong result for AMD’s Smart Access Memory technology and the potential of PCIe’s Resizable Bar feature on game performance. At 1080p Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s average framerates increased by 20%, and at 4K average framerates increased by 10.7%.
While average framerate increases are already impressive, 1st percentile framerates see a larger boost. At 4K, 1st percentile framerates increased from 36.3 FPS to 47 FPS, an increase of 29.4%. That’s incredible. While out other Smart Access Memory results are not this positive, these gains alone highlight the potential of Resizable BAR support.
