The ROG packaging looks so good with the mainly black and red logo that the old mainly red with a silver logo seems to belong to a different company. Funny how quickly you can get used to something.

If you like your mice to come with a lot of accessories then the Keris very much has you covered. There are two different sets of side buttons – curiously including a hot pink pair… us neither – as well as a pair of 1M click Omron switches, alternative feet, and some ROG stickers to show off your brand of choice. Special mention has to go to the cable which is, by some margin, the softest braid we’ve ever come across. It’s like a pillow. Glorious.

The downside to review samples is that the people before you haven’t always treated the product kindly, so know the marks on the left and right mouse button aren’t part of the design or something you’ll receive, merely another reviewer being a careless git. The Keris Wireless is compact with large LMB/RMB, and the scroll wheel is a lovely balance between the smoothness you need to get through large documents and the notchiness that helps you swap weapons accurately.

If the visible side of the Keris Wireless is beautiful in its simplicity then the underside is where all the business happens. Curiously the DPI changer is found here too, so those of you who flick between settings a lot are best to look elsewhere, but most of us run one setting for consistencies sake and so it’s not a major issue. You can see the large feet as well as a spot to keep the wireless receiver. Additionally there is a toggle switch to move between wired, wireless via receiver and Bluetooth modes.

The simplicity of the Keris is highlighted by the side panel, free from extraneous buttons or heavily textured surfaces. Being a shade under 80g means it’s always in control, and the indent between the buttons allows you to find them quickly.

Even in the light of our photography lamps the lighting is still bright and richly saturated, elements which aren’t always the case. When things are kept simple they have to work perfectly and the RGB lighting on the Keris Wireless is excellent.
