be quiet! Light Mount Up Close

Of the two new keyboards, the Light Mount is the more regular of the two designs. That isn’t to say that it hasn’t got plenty of touches of it’s own though, as we’ll soon see. The box is, besides the dents of an uncaring courier, exactly as we expect be quiet! packaging to be. Clear product image and their gorgeous typeface.

As always we’ll look at things in more detail below. However, it’s worth noting that be quiet! provide you with a magnetic wrist rest in the box. A nice touch.

Light Mount Overview

Getting a comfortable height is vital to saving your wrists. Thankfully be quiet! – in the first of many well considered touches – provide us with dual height feet.

Like many of its contemporaries, the Light Mount connects to your computer with a Type-C cable. The central position means that you can manage the cable on your desk with ease, regardless of which side your tower sits.

There are multiple layers built in to the keyboard. It’s very much a sandwich affair, reminiscent of Ducky’s Quack mechanics. We’ll look at that in detail on a later page, but for now enjoy the brushed aluminium top and huge light bar that covers the length of the Light Mount.

Unique to the Light, be quiet! provide us with five custom macro/shortcut keys as well as a volume and mute wheel. It is setup for that by default, but you can, like everything else, customise it in the software should you wish.
