Corsair Sabre RGB Pro Wireless Champion Series Review

The Corsair yellow packaging is incredibly familiar and the consistency of their products is such that it largely feels comforting too. They’ve had a few missteps like any company, but by and large if it comes from the Fremont company then it should be good.

  
  

Within the box we have the usual Corsair selection of an excellent manual and cable as well as the mouse itself and the Slipstream Wireless receiver. The manual is something that cannot be overstated. So often we see quick start guides printed in a 2pt font, or that fold out like an Ordnance Survey map. This is clear, concise, yet covers all the Sabre can do. Excellent.

  

We loved the simplicity of the Sabre when we looked at the wired model and the wireless one is no different. If you’ve grown weary of mice with changeable bits, or extra buttons, or deep scallops, then the Sabre will be the perfect choice. Comfortable for all hand sizes, light, and simple.

  

On the underside there are four large low-friction feet, the eye for the sensor, a profile button and the all important toggle between using Corsair’s Slipstream Wireless technology or Bluetooth, depending upon your needs.

  

As a mouse aimed squarely at the competitive crowd who don’t want anything to get in the way of the purity of their experience, the Sabre has two left hand buttons and nothing on the right. They’re very easy to find with your thumb, crisp, and as responsive as we need our side buttons to be.

  
  

Lastly at the front of the Sabre is a Type-C connector from which you can charge it up, as well as run in wired mode should you so wish.
