The C1500 Platinum is the main different model here, and thus the one we’ll look at separately. The three Gold power supplies are basically identical and will get grouped together.

A good indication of the difference – beyond the colour – of the Gold vs Platinum.

NZXT PSU Overview

If you’re someone who despises noise and yet worries, having a togglable zero fan solves both problems. When tooling on your desktop or playing Stardew Valley, hit the button for silence. When chasing down the denizens of Night City, or wondering why you brought Concord, turn it on.

Zero Fan Speed

It’s worth noting you’d have to be insanely sensitive to noise, as the NZXT triumvirate have large, low speed fans. Unless you’re thrashing the NZXT PSU at the peak of their output, you just won’t hear the fan.

NZXT PSU Fan Size

In keeping with the white cases they make, the Gold efficiency C series power supplies are the perfect whiteness. Not beige. Not cream. Lovely.

Just a couple of photographs that demonstrate how uniform the three Gold power supplies are when compared to the Platinum. It’s worth bearing in mind in a moment when we see the Platinum C1500 in isolation.
