DLSS Testing
Like FSR, we opted not to test Frame Generation when testing the Battlefield 6 PC beta. Again, the latency increase that Frame Generation technologies add goes counter to what gamers should want from fast-paced FPS titles. When quick reactions can be the difference between death and survival, you want your response times to be as fast as possible. As such, we only tested DLSS’ Super Resolution aspect.
Enabling DLSS in Quality mode delivered us a large performance increase with Nvidia’s RTX 4070 Ti. That said, performance gains were smaller when using DLSS’ more performant modes. Even so, we could use DLSS to boost this game’s average framerate to almost 100 FPS. Not bad.
