Battlefield 6 Beta PC Performance Tested

AMD FSR Performance

FSR in the Battlefield 6 PC Beta

Sadly, Battlefield 6’s PC beta doesn’t support AMD’s FSR 4 technology (FidelityFX Super Resolution 4). While we expect FSR 4 to be available in Battlefield 6 when it launches in October, players of the PC beta will have to make do with AMD’s older FSR 3 technology.

Given our limited time with the beta and the latency penalties of Frame Generation technologies, we have only tested FSR’s upscaling features. After all, competitive gamers want their games to be as snappy and responsive as possible.

With FSR 3, Battlefield 6’s beta can run significantly faster at 4K using our Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Pulse. In performance mode, our average framerate shot up to 133.1 FPS at 4K Ultra settings. That’s a big performance uplift. FSR 3 delivered strong upscaling results, though we look forward to seeing what FSR 4 will deliver in this game when it arrived in October.
