Dark Souls: Remastered PC Performance Review

Dark Souls: Remastered PC Performance Review

4K Benchmarks

Dark Souls is famous for its sheer difficulty and unforgiving gameplay, though from a PC hardware perspective this remaster is a pushover for modern gaming PCs.

We had to play Dark Souls: Remastered at 4K to take our GTX 960 and R9 380 to sub-60FPS framerates, with our RX 580 and GTX 1060 GPUs offering stable 60FPS framerates at this resolutions. To most PC gamers, RX 580/GTX 1060 GPUs are considered as 1080p GPUs for the most part, making these performance levels at 4K an astounding achievement.

Dark Souls: Remastered is almost too easy to run at 4K 60FPS.
