All Settings Tested – Optimisation Tips for higher framerates

We tested all of Far Cry 6’s major graphics options to see which settings had the largest performance impact. Below, you can see our results. Many settings have a minimal performance impact, like Terrain detail, and HD textures (if you have enough VRAM). Others, like Volumetric Fog, have a larger impact. 

From Ultra settings, PC gamers can achieve significant performance gains by altering the game’s Volumetric Fog (high is optimal), Water (medium gives the best visual/perf balance), and Environment Detail (High) settings. Setting Geometric and Vegetation Detail to Medium also has a notable performance impact, but this setting does present some noticeable pop-in.
