Halo: Campaign Evolved PC Performance Review

1080p Performance

Halo Campaign Evolved 1080p PC Performance

If you are using a lower-end GPU, ultra settings will be a stretch too far at 1080p. You will need to use upscaling and lower graphical settings to achieve 60+ FPS 1080p performance. Note that our RX 6600 XT is one GPU above this game’s minimum graphics card, the AMD RX 6600. If you use a higher-end GPU, 1080p 60+ FPS shouldn’t be a challenge, even at native resolution. That said, most gamers should probably play Campaign Evolved with upscaling. That’s how the game is designed.

Using upscaling and the game’s high preset allows gamers to achieve huge performance gains in Halo: Campaign Evolved. Our RX 6600 XT shoots past 60 FPS. Note that our test sequence is one of the more demanding areas of the game. So most of the game should run at higher framerates.

Also note that our Radeon RX 9070 XT is much less CPU-limited than our Nvidia RTX 5080. Clearly, AMD has less driver overhead than Nvidia, at least in this game.
