Halo Reach PC Performance Review with AMD Ryzen APU Testing

1080p Performance

Let’s get started with something simple. We recommend playing Halo Reach with the game’s framerate locked to 60FPS. With the game’s framerate locked, it’s more stable, and has less to no framerate variation with the right hardware.

At 1080p, even low-end hardware can run Halo: Reach with ease, with our GTX 960 and R9 380 coming out of retirement just to showcase how easily Halo: Reach can run at 60FPS on PC. Today’s PC hardware makes Microsoft’s old Xbox 360 look like a joke, but that’s to be expected given the age of the hardware.

As you can see, an unlocked framerate in Halo: Reach and change drastically over the course of gameplay, creating another reason why a locked 60FPS may be preferable for some PC players.
