VRAM Usage

While playing Hitman 2, we were never able to get the game to use over 5GB of VRAM at 4K, 4GB of VRAM at 1440p or over 3.5GB at 1080p when using Ultra/Maximum settings. Users of older 2GB graphics cards will be greeted with a restricted graphical options menu, unless you choose to override the game’s VRAM limitations in the pre-startup options menu. 

2GB remains enough VRAM to play Hitman 2 at Medium settings, though low texture settings are recommended to prevent any potential issues. Larger graphics cards will keep extra data in VRAM in case it is ever needed, which is why over 2GB is used at 1080p Low settings on our GTX 1080 FE.
