Resident Evil 7: Biohazard PC Performance Review

Resident Evil 7 is a very easy game to run at high settings, easily achieving average framerates of 60+ FPS on mid-range GPUs like the R9 380 and GTX 960. Players will need to lower graphical settings on these GPUs to achieve a steady 60FPS, though for the most part PC gamers will be able to expect a great framerate and graphical experience from this game.  

Moving up to GPUs like the GTX 1060 and RX 480 Strix we can see that the game can easily run with minimum framerates of over 100FPS, making these GPUs ideal for those with high refresh rate displays. Anyone with this much GPU power will also be able to play the game with higher graphical settings, though we have found that the highest or “max” settings for this game also come with much larger framerates dips/spikes, which can harm the overall gaming experience.
