Most of us will be more familiar with MB/s as a measure of a drive, particularly the sequential result as that spits out the largest number and therefore grabs the most headlines. We like to test all block sizes, as most files you’ll access don’t come in a single 2GB chunk. Whilst the Gigabyte Gen5 read speeds are impressive, the write speeds are gobsmacking. Insane. Incredible. Any superlative you care to think of.
